In Europe, does "Asian descent" sometimes mean "SW Asia"?

Good point. It could have been just about any country now described as Asia. It's sometimes difficult to orient oneself to the new geography.

No, Asian will usually mean someone from the Indian subcontinent ie India, Pakistan Bangladesh etc.

Asian could also be South and central Pacific origins also..alot of activity there for Terrorist
