In spite of the fact that a one washed ashore out on the Elisbeth Islands a few years back (somebody's pet, they said), and my farmer/naturalist neighbor lost a cow to what she and the vet agreed was a 'big cat' ["how'd it get way up in that tree?"], and my , my wife, and our visitors' encounters [from CO ....they know what one looks like], the official position of our MA officials is that "there ain't no such thing here".

I would not say that they are six feet long though...more like four or five-ish, nose to tail. And they like geese, ducks, and other of my former livestock hobby.

SE MA

Shhhh! If the word gets out, the soccer moms will panic, and the rednecks will be a'blastin'.

One tried to take down one of my neighbors horses last year. Scratched up several of them until the stud busted the cat in the chops with his hooves.
