sure am glad that Jefferson, Edison, Franklin, Ford, Wright brothers, Gates and an endless list of others didn't feel this way!

I find this particularly funny since I have a former liberal friend who went to Yellowstone in the winter and rode snowmobiles. Aren't liberals a hoot? They just love to control everyone else and restrict their rights while they ignore their own hypocrisy.

I'm sorry but I must disagree with the admin on this.
Snowmobiles are a class A nuisance to CC skiers and
anyone who wants to breath clean air in the park.
Those infernal machines stink up the place, make loads
of racket, and are occaisionally driven by rude obnoxious
yahoos. I say keep 'em on private land or national forest
but not the park.

The snowmobiles in Yellowstone are restricted to the roadways, must be clean burning (pretty much a 4 stroke), must obey the posted speed limit (25 most areas, 35 in some), most (if not all) must be in a group with a guide, and are limited in number daily (something like 1100 a day MAX for all entrances).
West Yellowstone alone has something like 1300 rental machines. The season that snowmobiles were banned in the park was devastating to their economy as they are strictly a tourist town.
And yet in the summer it is almost a solid stream of cars rolling down the road, the campgrounds are all full, and there are people EVERYWHERE!
Sigh.....

Don't have to tell me. I lived in Bozeman for 4 years. I love snowmobiles and the Park.

Tough kitty you watermelon commie front eco-extremists.
Clinton, you and the many land-grabbers have brought out many snowmobilers and other working class off-roaders to vote Republican in recent years BECAUSE of your lies and lockups. All I can say is keep it up morans.

After 4 more years of "Bush policies", global warming will eliminate the need for snowmobiles.

Tough. Snowmobilers use the same roads as all the other dirty velicles use in the Summer. You can XC in any of the hundreds of millions of WILDERNESS (including Yellowstone trails) where not even a WHEELCHAIR is allowed.
There is enough land locked up from us off-roaders (and unplowed roaders in the Yellowstone case) to keep every treehugging liberal hiking and out of sight of real Americans for the rest of their pathetic and bossy lives.

NO! Can we ban your vehicles on my deadend dirt road because we don't like people driving vehicles where we drive vehicles?
Look at the sign when you enter Yellowstone Park...
"For the pleasuring and enjoyment of HUMANS"!!!
Many of us half-crippled can't hike or ski 100 miles in a day to see Old Faithful in the Winter so we ride a Snowmobile instead. Get used to it...this is America.

Yellowstone is for everyone, including the handicapped, the elderly, pregnant women and young children who can't ski or snowshoe.
If you don't like snowmobiles, go buy some land and ban whatever you want.

May I suggest giving up CC skiing and buying a snow mobile? And that clean air crap?please, the only thing better than the smell of gasoline is when it's mixed with a good 2 stroke racing fuel ahhh.
