600 years ago Christians were as radical in their beliefs as numerous Muslims today.
It is important not to push moderate Muslims in the radical corner. The Enlightning has not taken place in the Islam but the mayority of Muslims in the NL are moderate.

About the Enlightning. I don't say that I have the answers. What sounds more sensible to me is to ask Muslims about what they read in the Koran. Do they really think that someone who has stolen should be amputated as said in the Koran? This has been done with Christians as well.
About re-electing Bush. When I read posts that say: "Kill all Muslims" I can understand why people elect Bush cause he is doing that in Iraq right now.
About the brainless reactions. "Kill all Muslims." If that is what people really want they have a lot of work to do (killing a big part of the world population).
About White Power signs. I just saw the fire on the news (in the NL) and saw the WP signs written on the wall, next to TvG RIP.
About hatred and Koran. The Bible does not say nice things about Jews but Jews and Christians are living and working together all over the world. As will be the Muslims sooner or later.

I voted for Bush, but I disagree with the "kill all the Muslims" mentality of some on this forum. And so does Bush.
Just because these paople say they are for Bush doesn't mean that they support his policies.
I know there are many moderate Muslims. Lots of them are working in the government translating terrorist documents and teaching diplomats Arabic.
This Van Gogh was trying to incite people. He didn't deserve to be murdered, but he was a loud-mouthed racist. He showed a Muslim woman naked. This would not make Muslims consider the issue of wife-abuse. He didn't care about Muslim women. He didn't try to have a serious discussion of this problem. He even claimed that Muslims have sex with animals.
It is a big present to Osama to turn the war on terrorism into a war on Islam. That is Osama's game, and some Freepers play it.

Bin Laden wants to start a religious war with the Muslims against the Christians. He hopes this will bring the moderate Muslims to his intolerant point of view.
People who are really Christians will not fall into this trap. Jesus said "love your enemy." That doesn't mean you can't defend yourself, but we should be able to find common ground with most Muslims if we are respectful and demand respect.
I wouldn't be surprised if radical Muslims are burning down Muslim schools just to fan the flames of intolerance.
The extremists mainly want to intimidate Muslims who don't see things their way.
The Koran says that you should obey Allah or the Sharia but when you live in a non-Islamic country you should obey the laws. So I'm told by moderate Muslims.
I don't care about living with Muslims or people from other religions as long as they are no bloody extremists.
