Islamic school set ablaze in Netherlands
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
THE HAGUE, Netherlands -- Suspected arsonists set an Islamic elementary school on fire Tuesday amid a string of attacks following the killing of a Dutch filmmaker by an alleged Islamic extremist.
Firefighters struggled to extinguish the flames at the burning Bedir school in the southern town of Uden, where someone had scrawled "Theo Rest in Peace" in the building in homage to slain filmmaker Theo van Gogh, but the building was destroyed in the blaze.
Uden Mayor Joke Kersten told Dutch television she didn't know the exact cause of the fire but suspected arson. She said the school had not been the target of prior attacks.
Arsonists attempted to burn down Protestant churches in Rotterdam, Utrecht and Amersfoort in apparent retaliation for the bombing of a Muslim elementary school in Eindhoven on Monday, police said.
Muslim sites have been the target of a half-dozen attacks in the past week. No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made.
Tensions have been high in the Netherlands in the week since the murder of Van Gogh, who was shot and stabbed in Amsterdam by an alleged Islamic radical after making a movie critical of Islam. A funeral was held for Van Gogh on Tuesday.
In Utrecht, police arrived Tuesday to find that a church window had been smashed and a container of flammable liquid thrown inside. In Amersfoort, several Molotov cocktails were thrown at the outside wall of a church.
It won't be long before this type of thing is happening in the US. There will never be any semblance of control of terrorism while there are muslims left on the face of the earth.
Spot on! The Islamic Prophecy...when all the muslims throughout the world are oppressed the Mahdi will come to earth and Jesus will sit with the Mahdi and decline his offer to share in the new kingdom (because only the Mahdi is the rightful heir to the entire planet!)
Identification of the Prophesized Imam Mahdi:

I couldn't agree more with everything you said, Snapple. I was beginning to think there were no voices of reason on this subject in FR. Thanks for the breath of fresh air...I really needed it. :)
He got that part right!
Read my very long post on the Saudi study of their educational system. They are critical because the system is intolerent of non-Muslims and of non-Wahabbi Muslims.
They are trying to turn this around. I think this should be encouraged and applauded.
Are you a Muslim or an animal?
Thank you, I will.
Well --- in Islam a human woman isn't any higher than a dog --- she's just another possession so what difference would it make?
I don't know if you are of Middle Eastern background or not, but I am. I have lived under the murderous oppression and corruption and bigotry of mafioso-fascist tyranny of the supposed "Islamic republic" which is in control of Iran. I know firsthand of the female apartied and oppression and sexual abuse of women and girl-children that the Islamic rule has been enforcing on the Persian nation - the people that by nature and by heritage have desired moderation and peacefulness. For 25 years Islamic rule has worked hard to change the good-natured heart and soul of these doomed people, by introduction of their so-called Islamic laws of public hangings from cities' construction cranes, by pubic hacking of limbs, by public flogging, by stonning of women and girl-children in town's public square and inviting the public to take up rocks and draw blood from the women and children who are held waiste deep in the dirt, hands tide behind their backs. All of this inhumanity had been foreign and intolerable to the Iranian culture prior to the so-called Islamic revolution of 1979. Iranian people had no concept of this kind of depravity. So what is really the ultimate goal of the murderous turbaned mafioso-fascist islamists by imposing this ugly depravity on a whole culture? Their aim is to systematically debase and ruin the heart and the soul and humanity of a whole nation and people. Their aim is to leave no way of return to a culture and society towards righteousness, and tolerance, and moral, right-minded integrity. All Moslems, all people of Middle East have to have courage and resolve to guard themselves, and the future of their children against this despicable anti-human ruination by these mad, militized, politicized, corrupt, pseudo-religious fascist movement which will ultimately devour all of us whole if it is not stopped by EVERY ONE OF US. This is not bigotry. This is the truth and the reality of what we are facing.
The Dutch had traditionally been preety tough cookies. Then they bought into all of the socialistic PC crap. Glad to see they're still capable of defending the hearth. I think the EU will fall apart becuase of English, Dutch, and Italian intransigence.
Yes -- that's how it works. Cowardice. They know what is going on but pretend not to see it.
The London Times story over the weekend said that the killer attempted to (and nearly did) decapitate Theo van Gogh before stabbing him. I still have not seen the American press reporting this aspect of the murder.
btw, why does the title mention that an islamic school is set ablaze while the article also mentions "churches" being hit?
Snapple, seriously, we keep posting up pro/con articles from the arab press, we can go on all night! I see you follow MEMRI too. Good. So you must be aware of the Friday sermons from Islams holiest sites they used to post. We are not talking maverics here, but State aproved, and appointed Imams, Islams holiest men in Islams holiest places.
Past articles:
Friday, February 7, 2003.
From the holy mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia:
Shaykh Sa'ud Bin-Ibrahim al-Shuraym delivers the sermon. He praises God, the messenger, and his companions, advising people to worship and obey God and stressing the importance of pilgrimage as a religious duty. He urges pilgrims not to bother one another or mill about during pilgrimage ceremonies. He also calls on Muslims to stick to their faith in Islam "as a fatal weapon in the face of the enemies of the nation and the stealers of land," saying that a faithful fighter "can win either the battle or martyrdom for the sake of God." The imam devotes his sermon to pilgrimage affairs and Islamic values.
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, strengthen Islam and Muslims, humiliate infidelity and infidels, destroy the enemies of Islam, and protect this country, as well as the countries of Muslims."
From the other holy mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia:
"O God, strengthen Islam and Muslims and humiliate infidelity and infidels. O God, destroy those seeking to harm Muslims. O God, relieve Muslims everywhere of their suffering. O God, give support to mujahidin fighting for your sake. O God, relieve our brothers in Palestine of their plight."
From the Grand Mosque in Sanaa, Yemen:
Turning to politics, the imam condemns the Israeli "occupation for usurping Palestinian rights and destroying Palestinian homes and lands." Preparations, he says, are also under way "to occupy Iraq," although they [enemies] boast about their human rights organizations, "which only target Arab and Islamic countries." He devotes most of his sermon to pilgrimage affairs.
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, give your support to Islam and Muslims and relieve our weak brothers in Palestine and Iraq of their ordeal." He goes on: "O God, give support to those supporting Islam and disappoint those disappointing Muslims. O God, promote justice and disappoint infidels and unbelievers. O God, give support to mujahidin in Palestine and Iraq, encourage them, and help them score victory over their enemies. O God, close the ranks of Muslims so that they can stand in the face of the unjust Americans and the Zionist usurpers. O God destroy the enemies of Islam, shake the ground under them, and instill fear into their hearts."
At Shaykh Ijlin mosque in Gaza, the hate is especially virulent:
Palestinians, he says, have been expelled from their homes because of their belief in God and "their readiness to offer their souls for the sake of God, the sanctities, and the Holy Land." The imam says: "While stepping up their atrocities and terrorism against us, the enemies accuse us of terrorism. They fight us with their bullets, their tanks, and their planes. We will remain patient, God willing, because our people believe in God and are sure he will defend them. Otherwise, we would not have remained patient all these years in the face of this tyrannical military machine, the strongest force in the world. It is not the fourth power in the world, as has been said. It is the strongest power in the world because the United States, the unjust country, is blindly biased toward our enemies. O Palestinians, o Muslims, we swear that nobody will enjoy safety in the world unless injustice to the Palestinian people is lifted." The imam reminds Muslims that God has asked them "to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque and this land." He also says: "After this reckless US president declared his loyalty to the Jews and planned to get rid of our president, our people, and our cause, his country lost both security and safety." The imam scoffs at the US president for asking the Palestinians to introduce reforms at a time when his country is overwhelmed by corruption, stressing that reform is a Palestinian requirement.
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, help us score victory over our enemies. O God, accept our martyrs, forgive them, and have mercy on them."
From the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Ramallah:
The imam says that the US secretary of state announced two days ago that war would break out within days. The irony, he says, is that some Arab countries have asked the United States "to put off the war until after Id Al-Adha." He says: "This implicitly shows that some Arab rulers have approved the war in principle and are protesting just the timing. While Muslims slaughter sheep in Id Al-Adha, the United States will slay Muslims in Iraq in order to carry out its aggressive, criminal, terrorist, and inhuman designs." Stressing opposition to such a war, the imam urges the Islamic nation, both the rulers and the ruled, to close their ranks and to block the planned destruction of that country and its people.
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, deter the aggressors and conspirators. O God, destroy them all. O God, protect Iraq and its people. O God, give us safety in our homeland and relieve us of our plight."

The story of Muhammad's life, the imam says, is clear and available for everybody who wants to know the reality, adding that Muslims "will never tolerate any attempt to harm our religion." Those trying to distort the image of our Prophet Muhammad, he says, "will anger Muslims all over the world," stressing that "the Islamic nation condemns such accusations, shameful attacks, and sinful lies against Islam and Prophet Muhammad." The imam then asks for an apology for the recent insulting remarks against Islam and prophet Muhammad and urges Muslims to do their best "to refute these lies, to stop these feverish campaigns, and to expose Jewish and Christian extremists supporting usurper Israel and standing behind this unjust campaign."
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, strengthen Islam and Muslims, humiliate infidelity and infidels, protect Islam, support your faithful servants, and disappoint tyrants, atheists, and the enemies of Islam." He also asks God to support the leader and to close the ranks of Muslims. He goes on: "O God, support mujahidin fighting for your sake and your religion. O God, enable the Palestinian mujahidin to close their ranks and to score
victory over your enemies. O God, Zionist Jews are spreading tyranny and corruption, killing and displacing people, and destroying property. O God, destroy them, for they are within your power."

He praises God, the messenger, and his companions, urging Muslims to obey God as a way to paradise, thanking God for revealing Islam, and stressing that Muslims are brothers under Islam. Iraq's brothers, he says, "have disappointed the Iraqi people," attributing Muslims' weakness "to their abandonment of the Koran and the messenger's Sunna [Prophet Muhammad's traditions and sayings]," and stressing that Muslims "will face even more serious situations as long as they keep away from their religion."
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, help our mujahidin brothers in Palestine and Iraq score victory over their enemies. O God, destroy the unjust sons of Zion and the arrogant Americans. O God, shake the ground under them, instill panic into their hearts, and disperse them. O God, destroy them, for they are within your power." He also asks God to support the Yemeni president.

O God, close the ranks of Arabs, Muslims, and their leaders and help them score victory. O God, spare this nation aggression. O God, help the mujahidin of Muhammad's nation score victory."
WEST BANK & GAZA STRIP
Gaza Palestine Satellite Channel Television in Arabic, official television station of the Palestinian Authority, and Gaza Voice of Palestine in Arabic -- Second Program -- official radio station of the Palestinian Authority broadcasting from Gaza -- at 1000 GMT carry a 31-minute live sermon from Shaykh Ijlin mosque in Gaza.
Shaykh Ibrahim al-Mudayris delivers the sermon. He praises God, the messenger, and his companions. Condemning the Israeli practices, the imam says that Jews "are escalating their unjust practices against our people, our land, and our sanctities and are committing the ugliest forms of massacres." Jews, he says, "are killing people, destroying property, and carrying out assassination operations in the West Bank and have come to Gaza to commit new massacres amid international, Arab, and Islamic silence." The US Administration, he says, is helping the Jews "commit these massacres," describing the United States as "the primary enemy of the people of Palestine and the Arab and Islamic nation." He says that the United States is planning "to guarantee the State of Israel's security and to control the Arabian Gulf's oil in violation of international legitimacy." He says: "The United States fights this nation to ensure the State of Israel's security. It has given this state a green light to guarantee its security the way it likes.
In the second part of the sermon, the imam regrets the weakness of the Islamic nation, saying that people attribute this weakness to "rulers' corruption, injustice, and tyranny." He also urges the ulema to shoulder their responsibility and to play their role in guiding the society and the Arab and Islamic leaders "through jihad against God's enemies."
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, lift the siege on us and the Palestinian prisoners. O God, lift the siege on our leadership, our people, and our nation. O God, help our kinfolk in Iraq. O God, help the children of Iraq. O God, protect the lives of our kinfolk in Iraq."
Ramallah Voice of Palestine, official radio station of the Palestinian Authority, at 1000 GMT carries a 25-minute live sermon from Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem.
Shaykh Ikrimah Sabri delivers the sermon. He begins by praising God, the messenger, and his companions. He urges Muslims to resort to Islam to solve any problem and criticizes those claiming that Islam is no longer good for life. He calls on Islamic movements, groups, parties, and institutions to join forces "to confront the alien, destructive ideas harming our societies."
Turning to the Palestine question and the Iraqi issue, the imam says: "What the Israeli occupation Army is doing to our steadfast kinfolk amounts to a war of annihilation against people, trees, and even stones. Massacres in Palestinian cities, villages, and camps continue on a daily basis under the pretext of fighting terrorism. The occupation claims that what it is doing is not terrorism but self-defense." The imam believes that occupation is the reason behind the ongoing cycle of violence in the Palestinian arena and that the aim of killing and destruction is "to impose surrender," stressing that the Palestinian people reject surrender. He also says that the region will not enjoy calmness "unless Israeli occupation comes to an end," criticizing Arab and Islamic countries for "their silence over what is happening to the Palestinian people."
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, protect Iraq and its People. O God protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from any harm." He goes on: "O God, support Islam and Muslims, elevate justice, and forgive the faithful."

Shaykh Yunus Jasim delivers the sermon. He praises God, the messenger, and his companions, thanking God "for strengthening us by Islam" and stressing that God has promised defenders of the land, honor, and the sanctities with paradise and forgiveness. He urges Muslims to cooperate and to stick to the rules of Islam as a religious duty in the face of "the current serious events." He also urges Arabs and Muslims to cooperate and act as one entity in the face of the dangers and to defend the nation's soil, including Palestine. The imam says: "The criminal Zionist invaders destroy property and sanctities; kill children, men, and women; undermine the bases of social and economic life; obliterate the characteristics of Arab and Islamic life; distort Arab and Islamic reputation; accuse them of backwardness; and brand them with terrorism." They [enemies], he says, have concocted conspiracies for decades and even centuries, denouncing "current plots against our brothers in fraternal Iraq, where fleets are being massed, guns and missiles are being prepared, and the latest techniques of killing, destruction, and terrorism are being used under false pretexts and baseless accusations." Condemning Israel's practices, the imam says that colonialism "is back to enable the Zionist entity, which has been planted in our homeland, to fragment the Arab countries in order to guarantee its survival and to expand its borders from the Euphrates to the Nile." The imam then urges Arabs and Muslims to wake up and to do their duty toward the Palestinians and Iraqi peoples.
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, help our mujahidin brothers in Palestine score victory. O God, have mercy on Palestinian and Muslim martyrs. O God, stand by our Iraqi brothers in their ordeal." He also asks God to give President Bashar al-Asad success.
IRAQ:
Baghdad Republic of Iraq Television in Arabic, official television station of the Iraqi Government, at 0932 GMT carries a 44-minute live sermon from Umm al-Ma'arik [Mother of Battles] mosque in Baghdad.
Shaykh Abd-al-Razzaq al-Sa'di delivers the sermon. He praises God, the messenger, and his companions and calls on "the servants of God" to worship and obey God. The imam devotes 13 minutes of his sermon to relate the story of Prophet Muhammad's pilgrimage to Mecca, urging Arabs and Muslims to learn a lesson from that event and to explore ways "to launch jihad against our enemies in defense of our homeland, honor, Islam, and property." He warns that "infidel Jews, Americans, and Britons" will not be able to escape God's punishment. The practices of Jews in Palestine, he says, "are the beginning of their end, God willing," stressing that "the faithful will smash and humiliate US arrogance." He also says "we should not fear the enemy's power," adding that everybody knows the panic the enemies suffer from inside their houses. The imam then thanks Arabs, Muslims, non-Muslims, and international organizations for their denunciation of "US injustice," adding that opposing the US Administration "is considered the highest level of Jihad."
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, support Islam and Muslims, elevate justice and Islam, support the faithful against infidels, and give our country safety and prosperity. O God, help the Palestinian mujahidin score victory. O God, help the Iraqi mujahidin score victory. O God, help them score victory over your enemies and their enemy. O God, destroy Jews, Americans, and Britons, for they are within your power. O God, weaken them, down their planes, drown their ships, and shake the ground under them." He also asks God to support President Saddam Husayn against the "unjust people."
QATAR:
Doha Qatar Television Service in Arabic, official television station of the State of Qatar, at 0855 GMT carries a 45-minute live sermon from Umar Bin-al-Khattab Mosque in Doha.
Shaykh Muwafi Muhammad Azm delivers the sermon. He praises God, the messenger, and his companions and calls on Muslims to worship and obey God and to die as Muslims, stressing the need to stick to Islam as a way to good life. He says "the Islamic nation is worthless because of our abandonment of the rules of Islam," adding that the Islamic nation will restore its glory only if it sticks to true Islam. He says that Muslims collected head tax on free non-Muslims under Muslim rule, but that Muslims are now paying the same tax to Jews and Christians just to please them. The imam advises Muslims to apply Islam if they want to score victory over their enemies. He devotes his sermon to the need to apply true Islam as a way to victory and success, giving examples from the Islamic history to support his argument.
Concluding, the imam prays to God: "O God, support our mujahidin brothers. O God, give them courage. O God, destroy your enemies, the enemies of Islam. O God, do not let them raise their banner. O God, humiliate them everywhere." He also asks God to give success to Arab leaders.

The Bible does not say nice things about Jews but Jews and Christians are living and working together all over the world. As will be the Muslims sooner or later.
Except in muslim countries!!!
Some are afraid. And with good reason. You might be afraid too.
Still, you must be reading the MSM and not the Arab papers.
A lot of reporters have been murdered for speaking out.
A lot of Iraqi policemen and soldiers have been killed for defending people against the terrorists.
I have put up many posts on this thread about these reporters.
Particularly interesting is the long discussion about educational reform in Saudi Arabia to make children less inclined to radicalism.
Let's see you get on a soap box in Iraq before you trash all the people who have been speaking out.
The Iraqi people are speaking out. They want to vote; they are signing up to be soldiers and policemen. The journalists are criticizing the terrorists.
You are wrong to say they are silenced. They are afraid and are taking huge risks.
I could have a J-Galt moment and do links to sermons from Finsbury park mosque or the jihadi videos they sold, but you have to get my point by now.... right?
PS.. Credit also goes to LGF and the "Friday Sermon Watch"
I didn't say it's not an uphill battle. I said not everyone is like these twisted people who write the Friday Sermons.
