Islamic school set ablaze in Netherlands

THE HAGUE, Netherlands -- Suspected arsonists set an Islamic elementary school on fire Tuesday amid a string of attacks following the killing of a Dutch filmmaker by an alleged Islamic extremist.
Firefighters struggled to extinguish the flames at the burning Bedir school in the southern town of Uden, where someone had scrawled "Theo Rest in Peace" in the building in homage to slain filmmaker Theo van Gogh, but the building was destroyed in the blaze.
Uden Mayor Joke Kersten told Dutch television she didn't know the exact cause of the fire but suspected arson. She said the school had not been the target of prior attacks.
Arsonists attempted to burn down Protestant churches in Rotterdam, Utrecht and Amersfoort in apparent retaliation for the bombing of a Muslim elementary school in Eindhoven on Monday, police said.
Muslim sites have been the target of a half-dozen attacks in the past week. No injuries have been reported and no arrests have been made.
Tensions have been high in the Netherlands in the week since the murder of Van Gogh, who was shot and stabbed in Amsterdam by an alleged Islamic radical after making a movie critical of Islam. A funeral was held for Van Gogh on Tuesday.
In Utrecht, police arrived Tuesday to find that a church window had been smashed and a container of flammable liquid thrown inside. In Amersfoort, several Molotov cocktails were thrown at the outside wall of a church.
If there is such a thing as moderate peace loving muslims, they had better start reigning in these idiots are they are going to complete the process of bringing the hammer down on themselves collectively. Just keep pushing Akhmed!!!!
It's going to be interesting watching developments in Holland in the near future.
This, combined with the Belgian court's declaring conservatism illegal, may well result in the isolation of France and the shaming of Spain.

Theo van Gogh, a filmmaker whose recent short film criticized the mistreatment of Muslim women, was killed on Tuesday on an Amsterdam street. The police have arrested an Islamist extremist and eight other suspected Muslim militants in connection with the murder.
As an American living and working in the Netherlands, I can attest to the incredible impact that the murder has had on the Dutch.
The Netherlands has been a beacon of religious, social and cultural tolerance in the world since before America even existed. The Dutch know and cherish this.
I'm confident that their response to this assault on their way of life and everything they hold dear will stand in stark relief to ours.

Not only will it be interesting to watch developments in Holland, it will be equally interesting to see if the television news media (all of them) will continue to downplay or ignore this story.
I guess the number of Koranimals in Holland has now reached critical mass...
Of course the murder of Theo Van Gogh, the arson of a mosque, arson of churches and molotov cocktails being thrown at churches, and anti-Semitism all across Europe won't be criticized half as much as the US is for locking up terrorists in Guantanamo, or Israel is for the security wall to keep terrorists out.
