Amen. When Ashcroft got offended by the breasts of a statue, I began longingly awaiting his departure. Good riddance.

For the record, the network cameramen were screwing with Ashcroft, ensuring that the bare breast appeared in the camera shot. Ashcroft is in the Great Hall of DOJ giving serious briefings in the aftermath of the Twin Towers and juvenile cameramen are trying to give us Twin Peaks. This wasn't the first administration to experience this effect, either. Remember how happy were were to have adults in charge back then? Well, shame on Ashcroft for trying to restore some decorum to deadly serious briefings. Shame on him too for mishandling the PR. He should have come right out and said why the distraction was eliminated.

That doesn't mean he'd be a good Justice ... just wanted to set the record straight on the urban legend of boobgate. One source, among others, including snopes.

Thanks for the real story behind 'Boobgate'.

I obviously pay NO attention to MSM because I had never seen the photos in question with the breast featured prominently behind his right shoulder.

I think his actions in covering the statue were a tad extreme, but at least I understand why he did so in the first place.

Thanks guys.
