Hmm... Doug? Is this a joke, or for real?

Dr. Susan Forward's book "Emotional Blackmail" is excellent. I've purchased copies for friends, who've quite literally gotten better control over themselves and their lives. She's straightforward, and doesn't mince around with the usual lal-lal liberalism. Bottom line? Her book has freed a number of my friends from liberal emotional enslavement.

The desciption makes light of the losers' problems, but it is for real. Dr. Forward will be on with me for an hour. I am pleased to say that she and her daughter became friends when I met them at a Hugh Hewitt radio show on location a few months ago.

Traumatized Kerry supporters in Florida seek therapy: report

Tue Nov 9,11:44 AM ET Top Stories - AFP

MIAMI (AFP) - Shocked supporters of defeated US presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites) are seeking help from psychologists, who refer to their condition as "post-election selection trauma."

The Boca Raton News reported Tuesday that Palm Beach, Florida trauma specialist Douglas Schooler alone has already treated 15 clients and friends with intense hypnotherapy since the Democratic candidate conceded on November 3.

"I had one friend tell me he's never been so depressed and angry in his life," Schooler said. "I observed patients threatening to leave the country or staring listlessly into space. They were emotionally paralyzed, shocked and devastated," he told the daily.

"We're calling it 'post-election selection trauma' and we're working to develop a counseling program for it," said Rob Gordon, the Boca Raton-based executive director of the American Health Association.

"It's like post-traumatic stress syndrome, but it's a short-term shock rather than a childhood trauma," he told the daily

I missed your show. I just listened to somebody about something and it sounded really good ("keep your powder dry" tagline). Anyway...

Do they archive the shows? Briefly checked out the website and didn't see it. If not, what's your schedule? This is kinda cool - freepers on the radio. (yea, hey, it's internet radio, but it's a start. And I streamed (dialup) for a coupla minutes with no breakups). I'm in.

Thanks, got it now. I will actually listen if I can (it made the to-do list) and call-in, well, I'm a tad shy, so we'll see. But shoot, if I were you, I'd be putting up a new thread about this every hour on fr. Or, or (I can't believe I'm actually saying this - but SPAM all freepers freepmail about this (like, reach everyone)).

I've read alot of your posts here and admire your work, and I'm sure tons of folks here have as well. Get the word out. This could be hugh. And good luck.

Years ago, I began using excerpts from Susan Forward's "Emotional Blackmail" to those I network with in politics, recommending STRONGLY they read this book. And I'll tell you why..

I've been involved in politics many years. And the key strategy point (and result) of liberals (and liberalism) IS EMOTIONAL BLACKMAIL. White guilt, male guilt, voting guilt, "American-imperialism guilt, anti-abortion guilt (you just hate women!), ad nauseum... it's all emotional blackmail being foisted upon people by liberals.

Just Witness this past election campaign by Democrats, and to their own so-called constituency!!! "If you dont' vote for Kedwards, you are all going to die: to be without healthcare: to be unloved: to be hated by an "evil" homophobic, anti-humanity Republican. These emotional blackmailers calling themselves Democrats have so terrified their own base -- their own base is having nervous breakdowns.

I've read her other books. She's good. She exemplifies what the field used to do: square people away. I have come to disrespect so-called Modern pop psychology. I do not put Susan Forward in this category. Modern pop psycher's do more to further a cult-like dependency than actually help people resolve problems in their lives and be self-reliant, and self-dependent, and self-trusting. Susan Forward knows what she is talking about; and her prescriptions are sound. You are wise to have her on your show. :) I think conservatives, all around the world, would learn VERY MUCH through understanding "emotional blackmail" -- which is the strong-arm tactic of the Democratic Party and Socialists worldwide.

Yep. I'd certainly consider "beheadings" to be in the emotional blackmail category (on top of just standard MURDER).
