That's not what I meant. If Hatch's leaving the Senate would give Frist and the Senate leadership a chance to appoint a more conservative (and less Ted Kennedy-compromised) senator on the Judiciary Committe, would that not be a good thing?
More Conservatives are always good.
But we should not give a rat's patootie what Ted Kennedy thinks. If we had listeed to him, John Kerry would be President.
As it stands for the next two years, the Republicans are the majority party. They need to act like it.
