One of my favorite photos from WW II is that of the Frenchman who could only weep as the Germans marched down the Champs Elysee. A symbolic victory? Do you mean like us letting that fraud De Gaulle lead the troops into Paris as if they actually had something to do with it? The pansy did not even approve of Operation Overlord, nor would he go on the radio to ask the French people to cooperate. French military casualties foe The Battle of Normandy ZERO!!!!

I saw Oliver North's "War Stories" the other day. He was talking about the War in North Africa, and the fact that despite requests by the US government, the French soldiers not only fired on US soldiers as they landed on the shores of North Africa to free them from the Nazis, but they actually held out for 3 days until the US forces overwhelmed them.

Who says they are good at surrendering?
