Why? Give me a REAL reason. If there is more than one person in a family who can do the job, what's the problem.

Political talent runs in families. Good values run in families. Moral clarity runs in families. Common sense (can) run in families. Intelligence runs in families. Good health runs in families.

What is the problem? Why is "new" blood necessarily "better" blood?

This question is for any of you that think Jeb would be a bad idea, for whatever reason.

I'd like to hear the justification for your opinions.

Miss TexasFlower. I agree whole hearted with you about the Bush family. However, I live in Jeb's State, and according to himself he's NOT interested, and I personally wish he would run either 2006 or 2008, but I'm afraid a great deal of the American people do not share your's and my view with a 3rd. Bush in the W.H., sadly!
Another little "obstacle", my wife and I went to Nova University where Jeb's wife was the keynote speaker, and her command of the English language would not be a benefit in Jeb's column. She's Hispanic!!!

Most of my family came over from Spain in the 1500s-1700s, and I can remember when JFK was around, my aunt not liking him and the rest of the Kennedy family because "we came over here to get away from that". When Teddy Kennedy got away with murder/manslaughter (depending on who you ask), that further cemented things for her. Her view was they were treated "just like royalty in the old world".

That may sound silly, especially coming from somebody with a family that hadn't been under any kind of direct royal rule for well over a century, but I know where she is coming from, and I think many others share the sentiment.

Me, personally, I want to bring in new blood. I'm tired of us recycling many of the same people and getting away from our conservative roots.
