A Taliban splinter group that has threatened to kill three U.N. hostages again extended a deadline on its demands after the government said it would respond to them on Wednesday, a spokesman for the group said on Tuesday.

"The kidnappers have demanded the release of 26 Taliban prisoners as part of a deal to free U.N. workers Annetta Flanigan from Northern Ireland, Shqipe Hebibi from Kosovo and Filipino diplomat Angelito Nayan, who were abducted in Kabul on Oct. 28."
The U.N. isn't holding these prisoners. Is it the U.S. ;) ?
