Doctors job is to kill unborn babies, not to moralize or judge.
"Doctors job is to kill unborn babies, not to moralize or judge. "
Whatever. This assclown is a pharmacist, NOT a Dr.
And birth control pills don't "kill unborn babies" - they prevent conception of babies that yours and my tax dollars would eventually pay for the raising of. No 'death' occurs.
A pharmacist is not a doctor.
There is an upside to this. Another thread today mentioned a Catholic based health plan that operates in accordance with Catholic teaching - no abortion or contraceptives to be paid for. Maybe they'll open a pharmacy where this guy can get a job.
When one's values don't permit you to do the job for which you are being paid, get a different job. It certainly is not this individual's place to make the call as to what will and will not be filled.
The post hoping that their pharmacist not become a Christian Scientist was hilarious, and illustrative of the problem with working someplace in conflict with your values.
What's next, a PETA member working at McDonalds and refusing to serve any meat?
If a doctor took a job at an abortion clinic and then claimed that his morals prevented him from doing abortions, the clinic would be well within its rights to fire him.
