Actually, it does. Perhaps not in the way you're thinking, but it affects my rights - and, more importantly, my vote - tremendously.

If we allow illegals to vote, then they are negating your vote. Your vote becomes invalid, regardless of how you vote. If we let illegals vote, then there is no longer a reason to become a citizen. Isn't your birthright from the Founding Fathers a little more precious than that?

This article is about a proposition that precludes illegals from voting. Some are suggesting that precluding illegals from voting somehow affects voters' rights. If that is the case, then this state proposition must be approved by the federal government, as it would be covered by the voting rights act.

I'm saying that precluding illegals from voting does not affect my right to vote (it simply returns us to what should be the natural order of things, according to our constitution), and is therefore excluded from the voting rights act regulations.

Keep in mind that, to me, this is not the same as answering the question of whether allowing illegals to vote interferes with my right to vote. In that case, I believe it does.
