I say that we introduce legislation that will enact a progressive income tax rate of 95% on the entertainment industry.
For the children, and all that...

Spears supported Bush, I am pretty sure.

Gosh, you're so "tolerant and compassionate" (sniffle). Honest to God, none of us here on FR had any idea what a kind, generous, tender-hearted person you really were (sob). Bless you, bless you, bless you.

I would agree with you Sivad and now reading the article by Burt Prelutsky on Hollywood types it sort of confirms what I suspected. Burt mentioned that Hollywood is run by gays, Jews and/or women. This makes perfect sense in understanding why there is so much about gay lifestyle coming from the media in recent times, which I have pointed out some examples. I could almost believe that a media drive for public acceptance of gay lifestyles was orchestrated by elite gay interest groups in Hollywood to coincide with the gay marriage issue and Kerry's bid for the presidency. They ultimately needed Kerry to push their agenda and, if he initially was against gay marriage during the election campaign, he would no doubt flip flop to appease these high powered supporters. The timing seems perfect: soften America's perception of gays through different media outlets and once Kerry is in power have him push for their agenda, especially on the marriage issue. I hope this doesn't sound like a wacked conspiracy theory, something a la Michael Moore (I have no proof of anything), but, to me, it doesn't seem all that far fetched.

You're right Sam, but how do you account for Spear's Lesbian smooch fest with Madonna and Christine? Maybe she'll say and do anything. I don't know how she voted and she certainly doesn't have a serious regard for marriage. For me the irony of all this is that both Spears and Christine were in the Mousekeeters and now they are both selling sex. What does that say about Disney and their family values image? And, to make matters worse, Madonna also worked for Disney at one point! I think Disney was a stepping stone for Spears and Christine to learn their devilish trade and make tons of money. Maybe Mickey Mouse is King Rat and Disneyland is... oops, I'm getting carried away here.

I like your tagline quote Albion... I wish I said that!

In a thread on an art forum that I frequent (Wetcancas.com), one of the moderators offered the opinion that portrait painting isn't that interesting, since the subjects are usually wealthy, and therefore generally have "bovine, vacuous" expressions on their faces.
I got the guy really ticked off by pointing out that his remark was bigoted. Naturally, no one else agreed with me on that, since they were all artists. Or maybe they just didn't want to upset the mod.

I honestly don't know much about Spears, I don't even watch TV, except very occasionally. Could she have been surprised by the lesbian kiss by Madonna?
I don't think I mind sexy dancing or whatever as entertainment, though. The question might more be whether or not Spears is actually all that sexy...maybe not, I have a feeling.

Argh,
Insert a minority into that sentence and you have a very ugly statement.

Yeah, true.
I pointed out exactly that, but the guy seemed to think bigoted statements OK when applied to politically correctly selected groups. But that is fairly consistent with leftist thinking.
