hehehe!
"I just think dark beers taste yucky."
An English "bitter" is not a dark beer, but it is full bodied when it come to taste. Probably an acquired taste though, you would probably think the name was descriptive of the taste.
Bud, Coors, Miller etc have given us "watered down" versions of what they think we like here in a beer - very light on flavor, lots of carbonation. The English beers have flavor. The Scottish beers have flavor. The Irish beers have flavor. The German, Chezk, Austrian, etc beers have flavor. They are beers. And now we in America are rediscovering beer, the way beer was meant to be. Hence we have lots of small, local breweries and brew-pubs making really good beers in small batches. And the big companies are now playing catch up with all their new tastes as they try to copy the English, Irish, Scottish, German beers.
Killians is an example, though mildly so. It is an Irish beer. But it is brewed to the Irish recipe by Coors. Try a Killians. And there are many other similar examples. Experiment a little, and see if maybe there aren't some real beer flavors out there that you like. Once bitten, you will begin to enjoy beer for the taste, and not just for whatever alcoholic kick you might get out of it.
I'm only a little bit north of you, about 50 miles south of Cleveland. And I have had the pleasure of enjoying good beer across the pond. They say that the Egyptians did beer first, and I have had Egyptian beer in Egypt. English, Irish, Scottish, German beers are better. And we have many good brew-pubs here that need never apologize for their beer!
This picture was taken when the President went to the UK on his State Visit.
He was playing around in a local pub near Tony Blair's home.
This picture was all over the place. He was playing and IT DID NOT make trouble for him. He was messing with the press, I think.
Relax.
That is digusting. Why did you post that?
Demeaning to the President.
Disagree on all three points...
This was from his State Visit to the UK. He was teasing the press, I think.
nice
