One Iraqi battalion shrunk from over 500 men down to 170 over the past two weeks with 255 members quitting over the weekend, the correspondent saidWe will never get out of there if this is the extent of their bravery. These people are real brave when they behead someone outnumbered 5 to 1.

"May they go to hell!" the soldiers shouted, and Allawi replied: "To hell they will go." Tagline material!

Re: "Apparently CNN is seriously trying to be the best look into this operation...:
Apparently (and as I watched for a few minutes) CNN is as usual taking the tone that our troops are the bad guys and freely giving location & movement info over CNN International that would give aid and comfort to the terrorists.
Gad! We need to give both the terrorists and CNN International-terrorists a bloody lesson they will never forget!

I'm happy Robertson supports the Prez, but he is like a crazy aunt who needs to spend more time OUT of the spotlight.

I'd like to ask a few questions from a weapons specialist, particularly one familiar with tanks.
1. If a tank is placed in the line of a row of houses and fires a round, how many houses does this projectile go through? Does it leave enough of a hole for soldiers to go through? What I'm getting at is can the tank make entrances to these buildings (that are most likely boobytrapped) and how many houses in a row are affected.
2. What type of ordinance is available to the tank commander? Can you fire a round that will blow a hole in a building and then release an explosive cannister with schrapnel?.
Just asking because I am not familiar.
Prayers to our brave soldiers.

Thanks for starting a thread:
Here is some breaking news:
Several U.S. tanks move into Iraq's Falluja - Marines
FALLUJA, Iraq, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Several U.S. Marine tanks entered the rebel Iraqi city of Falluja as part of an all-out offensive on Monday to retake the city from insurgents, said a Reuters reporter on the edge of the city.
Marine radio traffic indicated that the tanks had advanced into the city and guerrillas were putting up some resistance.
The U.S. military continued to bombard the city with artillery and from the air.
