There's Still A Little Kindness Left In World

Letters To The Editor:

My husband and I wanted to express our appreciation to two people who offered to help us out of an unhappy position when our taxi, which had taken us from Niantic to the Garde for the wonderful opera, “La Traviata,” failed to pick us up. Unfortunately, although we had addressed two different people at the taxi company to pick us up at about 10:15 p.m. — the expected time of the opera's end — the taxi failed to come and we were left “waiting at the church” as everyone had left.

A very nice volunteer at the Garde offered to take us back to Niantic, although she had recently moved from Niantic to New London.

Another very kind man who had sat next to my husband also insisted on helping my husband and me, although he would have had to drive back to Farmington.

A woman named Debbie insisted on driving us back to Niantic. We are so grateful to her. She helped us to have a beautiful day at the opera.

People can really be kind, to help us on this lovely day and on our anniversary.

We are most appreciative to Debbie and the other assistant for helping us.

What did I tell you. Inspite of those we have been reading, Americans are still good people.

Look at the people who trash USA. They have an agenda. The typical non brainwashed family oriented American is just like their counterpart anywhere else.
