Rove Credits Swiftvets with 'Energizing' Bush Vote
NewsMax ^ | 11/7/04 | Carl Limbacher et al

Bush Cheney reelection architect Karl Rove gave credit on Sunday to the Swiftboat Veterans and POWs for Truth for exposing John Kerry's anti-war past and energizing Republican voters to turnout at the polls.

Asked what role anti-Kerry ads sponsored by the Swiftvets played in Bush's reelection victory, Rove told "Fox News Sunday": "They were made important by the fact that Sen. Kerry, at his convention, really talked . . . only about Vietnam."

The top White House advisor explained: "I was amazed by the people that I met around the country who were energized by that issue being discussed . . . I was really amazed by how strongly men and women who had served in Vietnam and in the Armed Forces felt about that."

Rove recalled that his uncle had done several tours of duty in Vietnam. "I've never been able to think of Col. Verhi as somebody who would have 'raped and pillaged in a manner reminiscent of Genghis Khan'," a reference to Kerry's 1971 Senate testimony where he accused Vietnam veterans of committing widespread atrocities.

The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth were THE political story of the year.

A small group of honorable men toppled a major campaign in a few weeks with less than 2 million dollars.

They were armed with the truth and the Kerry snot campaign never recovered.

There were some major motivators in this election. The Swift Boat Vets were major. Another motivator was the Massachusetts Supreme Court. This election could have its own political science college class worth about 12 units over two years for someone to really understand what happened. So much came together to defeat the army of darkness once again. But it can't be said enough:

MERCIFUL LOVING GOD ALMIGHTY IN HEAVEN, BLESS THE SWIFT BOAT VETS!

The fight is not over! I keep reading about how the Swift-boat Vets lied as well as how they were discredited. They need to go all the way and I,for one, am willing to continue giving financial support. They need to be fully vindicated!
Sorry, but I do feel very strongly about this.

They ain't seen nothing yet if that happens! We remember how she treated the military in the White House.

That was part of what I was thinking. They had Navy Officers acting as waiters serving hors d'oeuvres at White House functions. The contempt the Clintons showed for military personnel is going to come back and plow them under forever politically if she tries to run.

Anyone heard anything from the SWIFTvets? They seem to have gone into (well deserved) hibernation.

The only thing I've heard since November 3 is the rumor of a celebration party in Austin.

And thank you George Soros for your heroic efforts in making ads like this possible.
Also thank you Dan Rather for convincing America that the media is bias.
And thank you Michail Moore for making the Democrats look like jackasses.
And least not Teresa Kerry your deceased husband would have been proud of you. And most importantly William Jefferson Clinton under whose presidency the Republicans became the majority party.

I found it interesting that CNN's exit poll data showed that were more voters who knew who the Swift Boat Vets were than there were voters who knew who MoveOn.org was.

I agree, and I'm curious to know what circumstances conspired to keep the military from disallowing the 2nd Clinton election?

It was also about the Pledge of Allegiance, the attacks on The Boy Scouts, and about removing the Ten Commandments from the public square.

Absolutely!! That demon is getting all feminine and gussied up, hoping to deliver a new image to the unwary American public. All her ploys, political connivings and calculationg will be of no avail .. there's a whole new media out here to block that witch's manipulative moves.
