In Reid's case, nearly every major industry in Nevada from gambling to gold mining to real estate development hired one of his sons or his son-in-law for lobbying or legal work. And Reid has a long record of supporting and protecting those interests in his home state.
Lest anyone forget, Reid stole his 1998 re-election, winning by a couple of hundred votes and typically, the pubbies failed to file a challenge.
Voter fraud, family members on the take from gambling interests---Reid is surely a new democrat.
This means that he is a Ultra-left wing Socialist aligned with the International Socialists who are radical anti- American!
Well he has the votes now and I expect him to use them and not wait until February. It should be his first action when the new Congress convenes.
It he has grown a testicle or two, maybe. But I have not been impressed with Frist.
I agree this is where the fight will take place. The pubbies will lose the 3 NE senators along with Specter and McLame on this vote and Cheney will have to cast the tiebreaker.
The Democrat's answer to the departure of Tom Dasshole - Harry "Cornholio" Reid. Yeah, that'll do it.
Glade air freshener works well on removing hovering spirits.
So losing 4 seats in the Senate may stall the GOP? Sure it does LoL!
My analysis too. Exactly the way it will go.
So it's time to go medieval on their a$$ and use the 'Nuclear Option'.
He needs a major smack down in the first days of office. That should set the pecking order at the start. The GOP needs to start acting like the majority. They aren't very good at that most of the time.
But you are assuming Kerry will show up for work?
"They will not cooperate - period"
We need to extend the hand but anticipate that it will be bitten. When they try to bite we should knock the S____ out of them.
"lead, follow, or get the hell out of the way..."
HA!!
This is EXACTLY what I meant when I said the 'Rats mo is to roll out one of their nebulous before [relatively] unknown names off the bench to run interferrence for 'em on *any* issue they choose to invent.
With the help of their quisling mediot pals coast-to-coast an easy task making this NV moron an overnight household name & *star* in no time, a'tall. :o)
"'Reid is a kind of Dickensian figure. He haunts the floor. He's like the hovering spirit of the Democrats,' said Ross Baker, a political scientist at Rutgers University who specializes in Congress."
BEHOLD!!!
The *metamorphosis* as consecrated by a high priest in acadamia. ;^)
This "setup" makes me want to hurl.
I swear the Liberal-Socialist schtick's simply become too easy to percieve.
...how very booringgggg.
Republicans need to start work now to vote five more dem senators out. How soon are five dem seats up for reelection? How about the first five that there's any realistic chance of voting out?
Yes, except Bush already tried that and so did Trent Lott when he became Majority leader. Bush got stabbed in the back and Lott got the ole 'switcheroo' from Daschle - and on more than one occasion. So they had their chance and showed their true colors.
It's like that old saying;
Bite me once, shame on you. Bite me twice, shame on me.
Like you say, we knock the S___ out of them.
However, if we can gain one or two in '06, we may be able to get 60+ in '08.
By that you mean....a sacrificial lamb...;^D
"BEHOLD!!!
The *metamorphosis*..."
Heh, heh! and NOW I understand what you were trying to convey (with sarcasm ) the metamorhisis of the fuzzy caterpillar-liberal...into the hungry socialist-moth capable of destroying the fabric-of-society....
Yea, and when he gets blown away they roll out another, and another and whatever it takes.
Usually with the quisling mediots promoting their agenda we can't knock off the weasels too easy. >BEHOLD!!! The *metamorphosis*...
"Heh, heh! and NOW I understand what you were trying to convey (with sarcasm ) the metamorhisis of the fuzzy caterpillar-liberal...into the hungry socialist-moth capable of destroying the fabric-of-society..."
Hey, that's not a bad analogy, guy.
I like it.
But lemme ask you, didn't you once accuse me of pontificating ad nauseum using all manner of old sayings you found trite if not altogether offensive?
Yea, seems I recall that now.
Well pot.
...meet kettle. :o)
