Actually, they could nominate Bill Richardson - a Hispanic with Washington experience and currently governor of NM. Would put AZ, NV, CO and NM in play - more than enough to compensate for OH. And they wouldn't have to change a single thing about their political philosophy.
Pubbies need to get to work on the Latino vote - even the mindless Dems see that population segment as their future, since they are dead meat in the South.
I'm more worried about Richardson, or another Hispanic Dem, in '08 than I am about Hillary.
Again that takes you back to Jeb Bush. I think the rising youg star, George Prescott Bush will be president someday. Latino and very handsome and charismatic.
