How interesting! I've never heard THAT anywhere else. You'd think the MSM would be able to get that info. Oh, right, I guess they'd need to leave the hotel and talk to some regular Iraqis to learn that, wouldn't they?
Canopied down feather bed, fireplace with a plum pudding on the hearth, pink and silver Valentine and anniversary balloons and a vase of pink lilies and tulips on the table fronting the windows, huge bathtub with candles and bubbling bath oil in glass decanter, gourmet restaurant a few steps away through a lovely garden, tea/coffee and tea sandwiches brought on wooden tray to your room...
And a day with sun shining on the snow laced atop half dome, bridal veil falls and El Capitain.
*sigh*
It was wonderful.

The concierge also donated 20 sewing kits for the soldiers at Mosul to give as gifts to the community there or for themselves and will send many more if they want them.
