I was surprised, and a bit worried, at how close the election was in Harris country (Houston area) when looking at State election results by county. I would have thought Bush would have a better margin.

You must be kidding? The city has never had a Republican Mayor, and sends Gene Green, Jackson-Lee, and now Al Green to congress. Harris County votes Republican because of the votes outside the city.
