We need to see the red-v-blue map by precinct. You'll find most of the blue areas become vanishingly small, moreso than the by-county map.

This is important to counter those calling for national divisions (secession or ejection) along blue/red state lines. The problem wasn't states going blue or red, it was the high-population precincts that distorted the larger geographic divisions.

I don't take them seriously. I'm afraid to.

I think that's true. The division is very much urban/rural. You can see that clearly in the 3-D map. On another thread someone posted a much better version. I'll see if I can find it.
