Do you get the sense this is only going to get worse? Unless the Democrats and their fellow-travellers wake up, they'll never win another election in our lifetime. Reading the article I have a faint hope they get it"until" this stupid statement from Minister Zalm

Zalm rejected speculation the government had fallen behind in the fight against Islamic extremism, pointing out that many people who had been threatened with death had not been killed. For example, adequate security precautions had been taken when MP Ayaan Hirsi Ali was believed to be at risk.
But despite the death threat levelled at Hirsi Ali, Zalm said he expects that she will be able to continue her public functions. But he also left the decision up to Hirsi Ali herself as to when the Liberal VVD MP will return to work.

Gaaa your answer to death threats was to hire security to protect a Parliament member and then "secure" her away. But as she said on McNeil/Leher Friday , luckily she lived in a country that could afford a security guard. For if she was in Somalia she'd been killed long ago

We still think that there is somehow a clean politically-correct way of dealing with Islamic extremism. Reason with them, give them financial assistance, help educate them or share their hatred of Jews and Israel.

When does the realization happen? Does it ever?

Will it just happen one day that the appeasers in our midst will wake up, scratch their deads and say "You know what.. I think these Muslims are trying to kill us."?

I never thought I would see the day in my life when Arafat is a hero worshipped by the UN and Europe and that liberals actually consider to sacrifice Israel in order to appease the poor pitiful Palestinians. The thinking is that all the problems with Islamic extremism world-wide are somehow all related to the issue of Palestinian problem and that a new era of peace and prosperity will reign throughout the world once the wolf is fed and Israel is sacrificed.
