Jackson, Farrakhan appear on live radio show

November 5, 2004 — A rare political summit took place this morning on a Chicago radio station. Reverend Jesse Jackson and Minister Louis Farrakhan were on the air discussing what African Americans can expect the next four years.

It was the first time the two prominent black leaders had appeared on the same, live radio program on Chicago's WVON. The show was picked up by fifty other stations around the country and streamed on the internet. Both men agreed that after the Kerry loss, there is a greater than ever need for African-American unity.

"All of us need to come together, because our unity will solve 95% of our problems and give us power to leverage that unit to solve the problems of our people," said Min. Louis Farrakhan, Nation of Islam spokesman.

Jackson sounded optimistic, noting that nearly 30% more blacks voted compared to the 2000 election, increasing their representation in congress and with Barack Obama in the U.S. Senate.

"We need not be in perpetual despair in the sense that there were some victories this past Tuesday," said Jackson.

Host Cliff Kelly hopes that voters remain energized for upcoming mid-term and city elections.

"We can do some things to prepare now to change a lot of those folks in office who were not accountable," said Kelly, WVON.

During the program, Farrakhan announced another "Million Man March" next year, on the tenth anniversary of the first event in Washington. He also sounded defiant when asked if the U.S. had declared war on Islam.

" Real Islam and real Muslims will never bow to the control of western democracy," said Farrakhan.

Black civic, business and media activists were at the studio watching off camera as Jackson, Farrakhan and Kelly continued their two hour discussion. Northeastern Illinois professor and writer Robert Starks said it's time for African Americans to form their own political party:

" To counterbalance the fact that the democratic party has taken us for granted and secondly the fact that we've been rebuffed from the republican party," said Dr. Robert Starks, NE Illinois University.

This was videotaped and there is an effort to air it on wicc in december. No word yet on the date or time for the program.

About the host, Clifford Kelley. He's a former Chicago alderman who did time for accepting bribes. The Chicago Way.

Farrakhan's "Nation of Islam" is the biggest terrorist sleeper cell in the United States. Bar none.

And I'm not surprised to hear that Jesse Jackson and Louis Farrakhan appeared together: they have a common enemy -- the United States of America.

That would be awesome. Better than Nader in 2000 or Perot in 1992 (against us). The Dems would never win a national election again.

"Both men agreed that after the Kerry loss, there is a greater than ever need for African-American unity (because we need to keep the rift going or there would be no use for two phony anti-americans like us.)"

thought I'd finish that sentence for them.

Let them keep it up. I read on another thread a day ago that 60% of Texas Mexican Americans voted for Bush. The crud promoted by Farrakham and Jackson will push large numbers of African Americans away from the left. People who have values will not go for this. The Democrats, as they move further to the left, will lose their lock on minorities -- it will take time but the signs are there. Muslims, now that is another matter entirely.

There's a time and a place for the "N" word.

Farakkkhan and Jesse Hy are two stellar examples.

Why - so they can get more of the same from their great-white-hope-rich-liberal presidential candidates who take them for granted?
