You're right, luckily there are members of Congress that have more common sense, where illegal immigration is concerned, than Bush does.

Several new members of Congress are more anti-illegal immigration than their predecessors were.

Several new members of Congress are more anti-illegal immigration than their predecessors were.

That's our best hope --- the choice was between Kerry giving up our sovereignty to the UN and Bush giving it up to the Mexican government --- but the Mexican government is easier to defeat in the long-run.
