There are very good reasons for both spots on the GOP ticket to be pro-life.
This last election proved that the key to winning was an enthusiastic and jazzed up base that turned out in droves. It wasn't swing voters that won the election, it was turnout of the true believers.
Putting someone on the ticket who is pro-choice makes as much sense as putting someone on the ticket who wants to raise taxes, increase massive government handouts, restrict gun ownership, or slash defense spending.
We need ALL the parts of the coalition to be excited in order to win.
Specter is an idiot to think that he could have won under the GOP banner in 1996, and he would be even more of an idiot today.
And the date on his warning to "W" was yesterday. So what? It's further proof that he's been a RINO for four decades...
