The DNC doesn't know it yet, but it has created a monster.
A monster in the form of millions of liberals who have been taught to deal and to trade in ignorance, and who are given the chance to vote for the biggest nothing in history; liberals who have emerged with a sense of anger and a sense of sedition which no one has yet grasped.

(A play on Kerry's 1971 testimony)

Bet on this: Ultimately after some soul searching the conclusion the dems will arrive at will be 'we were't liberal enough.'

Wait and see.

"I'm convinced that our side is right on the issues," he said. "But maybe we're selling it the wrong way."

Right...our ideas are not bad its just we need a slicker salesperson.

Once gain, I don't see the democrats learning a thing from this election.

Actually, they just let their party be hijacked by the extreme left wing. Clinton, no less a leftists than Kerry, was slick enough to appear to be moderate. Note Clinton's advice to Kerry to endorse gay marriage ban in swing states. Expect Hillary to be much more cunning about her actual positions.

Guess they're too out of touch to consider they might be WRONG on the issues.

We've got 8 years of Clinton scandals to re-explore and re-expose in the next 4 years, scandals of which Hillary had direct involvement in.

The Democrats lost for several basic reasons. If they had somebody astute, and w/o such a tremendous ego, this election would have been theirs, by a larger margin then we won by.

Last August, I jotted down a short list of what I saw the Democrats doing wrong, and what could have been done to correct it. But if they could not figure it out for themselves, to hell with them. Which is exactly where they want to see anyone who disagrees with them to go.

They pay a lot of people a lot of money for a lot of advice. But that is money down the drain, when they all feel they are to damn smart to listen to simple common sense and to the American people.

I read the whole thing. Clearly, the Washington Times created this piece to illustrate the lunacy on the Left.

The Left are still saying that they win on all the issues but didn't get their message out. Also, more of the "here comes the theocracy" bloviating.

At this rate, I anticipate more Senate seats in 2006 and the magical 60 in 2008.

It's already happening.

Just check out some of the 'talking heads' in the government and in the media.

I think it was Einstein that said (paraphrasing)"Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is delusional"

Do we really want the Dems to figure out what
is wrong? I mean, don't we quietly want to
hold 270 seats in the house and 62 in the
senate and get an ownership society firmly
embedded in the minds of the electorate
before they figure it out???

By that point, resistance will be futile!

"Time to secede, not concede."

Um... I didn't know Johnny Cochran was in the crowd. How about, "We won't quit, we'll throw a snit"

Nevermind.

PS - Do they think they can just take a state or two and go off and sulk?

They might be right on some of the issues, but wrong in what they want to do about them. Which is to give our government totalitarian power in the interest of serving their so called good causes. Liberals are do gooders but don't have underlying principles to guide them, thus, no need to worry about sacrificing them.

it will take the dems years, if not decades, to dig themselves out of the hole they have dug for themselves.

Nancy Pelosi was quoted as saying that the american people just didn't 'understand' the democrat message because they weren't 'educated' enough by them on the issues.(dems)

In other words.

We're to STUPID to understand their STUPID ideas.
