More crap we'll be hearing about for four more years. I'm sure it was in a "minority" neighborhood.

E.J. Dionne is a weenie. (not the subject of this thread, I just felt like saying it)

The first step is to require photo identification.

If you are required to provide a photo identification to purchase a beer, or cash a check in America, this should not be a problem for any valid adult American citizens.

Enforce the death penalty for any person convicted on voter fraud charges. Insure that they get a fair trial, but if guilty, their execution should be shown on public TV.

Your following of the Republican or Democratic party, must never matter. Violation of our most basic rights as an American citizen, must never be tolerated.

Plus the fact that if Kerry knew that it was going his way, he would not have conceded the election at all.

Did you hear on Hannity that the count went to 52% for the President. When was the last time we had that high a percent?

The real story is that the audit procedures permitted election officials to trap and correct the error. I will have total confidence in the count.

The first step is to require photo identification.

Agreed. With standardized state drivers licenses (a national ID I had hoped to avoid) and database linking, ID could be checked by computer at poll check in. If they can do it for credit cards, they can do it for voter eligibility.

It would be possible, I believe, with facial biometric technology to gather legal evidence against those who use phony or mis-appropriated ID, by digitally photographing voters when their ID is scanned. Boy, would the left squeal about photographing voters.

That is very disquieting, though. Such errors sould be hurting us elsewhere.

Without errors, there would be no such thing as a "margin of error" in a tally. When the tallies fall within that scope, an automatic recount is triggered.

Albert Gore Junior's "popular vote" in 2000 was WELL within the margin of error for a national tally (0.52% difference between the top two candidates). To be positive of that result would have required a FULL NATIONAL RECOUNT OF EVERY COUNTY. Luckily we do not determine our presidents by total votes cast otherwise it would have been a costly and timely (and bitterly contested) series of recounts (imagine a thousand Flordia2000s).

If the "error" is considered to be in an "acceptable" range (certainly less intrusive than John Kerry's "nusiance level" of terrorism), the improperly counted votes are not supposed to affect the outcome. George W. Bush had a pheonomenal lead in Ohio and maintained that lead.

The ONLY reason why the networks were all unwilling to call the state earlier in the night was it was John Kerry's ONLY HOPE. It also denied President Bush a nighttime victory.

Well, Dan Ratherbiased, I hope you found some comfort in your hope that your boy Kerry would win despite all odds.

Bev Harris, the chief Diebold critic, is a prominent poster at DemocRATicUnderwear. She spins conspiracy theories about George W. Bush's efforts to steal the election.

People should consider the source.

The great thing about that is, the machine in question was NOT a DIEBOLD! But that won't stop them.

What is the Democratic party coming to? They can't even vote fraud correctly, and after 2000 you would think they had plenty of practice. Oh, for the good old days like 1960 when you could steal an election.
