The stations have adapted around the fact that in much of the country, summer is the only time when it is bearable to go out and do anything. So they have adapted their TV schedules to account for the fact that no one is watching anyway. That does nothing to change the fact that this is a nonproblem. The government has more important things to do than play "let's pretend" with the clocks.

"The government" already standardizes the clocks and sets time zones. Before the railroads, "what time is it?" could lead to vastly different answers from town to town.

I imagine that damn internal combustion engine was a solution to a non problem for your horse and buggy, along with the government funded interstates you get every good you possess from. .... dealing logically with a liberatarian is sometime like trying to nail jello to a wall.....

Fine no use of our tax dollars are justified outside the LIberatarian mantra... sleep well. ( on that government inspected mattress)
