Our President & Principal Consultant has had varied professional experiences that lend themselves to the development and success of The Simmons Group, Inc. He has served as a political consultant, helping to organize campaigns for candidates for public office throughout the United States. In 1992, he played a pivotal role in the election of President William "Bill" Clinton, serving as Deputy Director of Northeast Field Operations for the Clinton/Gore campaign. Following the election he assisted in the planning and preparation of the inauguration of President Clinton.

Mr. Simmons has served as the Director of Community Outreach for the Richmond Symphony, a Richmond based non-profit arts organization. While there he developed and implemented four outreach programs designed to enhance the organization's role as a community partner and attract new, more diverse audiences.

In 1998, Mr. Simmons accepted a position with Xerox Corporation as a Sales Representative in Richmond, VA. Based upon his success, he was promoted to Marketing Executive, responsible for Federal Accounts, and relocated to Washington, DC. In DC, he was responsible for the implementation of enterprise-wide business solutions for six federal government agencies, the likes of which included the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the United States General Accounting Office and the United States Agency for International Development.

Prior to establishing The Simmons Group, Inc., Mr. Simmons served as a Financial Specialist/Business Banker with First Union National Bank (now Wachovia). He attained both the Series 6 and Series 63 investment licenses as regulated by the NASD and a Virginia State Life and Health insurance license. He was responsible for addressing the financial needs of his clients, to include individuals and small businesses, and growing a book of business in excess of fourteen (14) million dollars.

Ummmm... he sold copiers after 'playing a pviotal role' in the election of a President? Okey Dokey...
