Pat Buchanan doesn't get it any more than the liberals do. George W never did and never has and never will run his campaign to appease ANYONE on any side. I know because I did continual research on George W as governor... he does not set policy according to polls or what might get him reelected... he really is one of those rare politicians tht does things he thinks will be good for the country he loves. I know that is a really hard concept to get your head around, but it is true, nonetheless... I know, cause I tried to prove otherwise for a number of years.

If Bush wants to bring many dems onboard and solidify his base:

Seriously address illegal immigration issue - both sides (including immigrants) want something done about this now

If they fail to get constitutional ammendment to define marriage as man and woman, this will be challenged on state by state level as was abortion. Dems will seek out liberal judges to overturn the will of the people.

Do away with judicial appointees who are not accountable to the people.

President Bush must not listen to the MSM, for it delights in trying to destroy him. What the MSM media wants is for Bush not to do anything that the liberals don't want him to do. That's what the MSM means by "reaching out" to the dems. The dems need to reach out to Bush, not the other way around. (I think President Bush is just playing around with the MSM, or at least I hope so.)
