They forgot the biggest space backer of all....George Bush.

His agenda for space will go forward now in congress with more republican seats to help sustain funding. By the time he leaves in 2008, NASA will be on the path to return to the moon and such momentum will have some carry-through to his successor.

I'm all for private enterprise for low orbit now. I think they can handle thing. The big prize, Mars, needs NASA. I think Bush's moon base and Mars plans are fantastic investments.

That is why I'm going to start an effort to convince our politicians to withdrawl from 1967 UN Space Treaty.. Any takers here??
