The topic of this thread is whether Rove is overrated. Ms. Coulter submits that he is and I happen to agree. This is important because if his moderation is taken seriously, it squanders our victory.
As I see it, Rove was in the right place at the right time. We are in a war. The Democrats decided that was the best time to run Dukakis' lieutenant governor. At the same time, the Courts decided to constitutionalize sodomy and being legalizing gay marriage. Did I mention the war?
Given all that, Bush won by a single state when running against the Senate's number One and Four liberals. That is not the performance of "genius."

Appreciate your thoughts.
It remains that for once, someone found a way for conservative Christians to be involved in ways that actually win votes. That was necessary, in order to keep up with the Democrat 527s and the Soros Youth.
May we grow from there, instead of backing down into complacence, now.

Well put.
The GOP ran a lackluster campaign--to put it mildly. If it weren't for columnists like Coulter and the so-called new media and the internet people who got out the truth about Kerry that the GOP was too proud to ennuciate--we'd all be crying in our beers about President elect Kerry.
If somebody had told me on 9/12/01 that W would just barely beat a neo-hippy and personal injury trial lawyer for re-election, I would have laughed in their face.
This should have NEVER been anywhere near this close.
