If you attribute their effectiveness to Rove, why didn't 4 million Christians vote last year? It's simply that for once, there was a national plan to put Christians to work in a campaign. That's all. And that's a great deal.

If Rove was a genius, why did that plan not exist 4 YEARS AGO?! It's not as if Christians are some heretofore undiscovered demographic or part of the Dem base that he cleverly lured away.
IMO, Bush owes his election to Gavin Newsome, Michael Newdow and the Massachusetts Supreme Court, not Rove. Rehnquist's health problems were a wakeup call for religious conservatives. Are you going to claim that Rove orchestrated that?
