Spook, My last Black Lab wore his teeth down to the gums fetching sticks with "strangers" but his worse offense was three episode's with porcupines. The first two times I took him to the vet. The third time I pulled the quills and that put an end to that. Then there was the time he swam 90 feet across the Klamath River to engage a Black Bear. I turned the air blue with expletives and he almost drowned on the return swim he was so tired. He had a bad heart from a bout with Heart Worm. Best Damn Dog I ever owned...

Thanks for the dog stories!! This was Maverick who loved living by the beach and even more loved living in Wyoming and going to Yellowstone. He romped in our lake every day except during blizzards and particularly loved going fly fishing with my husband!!
As you can see he was exceptionally ferocious. lol
