That's just the point. The secular humanists try to deny the divinity of Jesus and take Him purely in human terms (what did he say; they don't even want to hear what he DID).

He loves them just as much all the same, that they may one day see.

The Passion is the greatest unrequited love story in history. Not enough people realize this (or that it doesn't have to be this way).
