I still get the craving to fly on occasion; just too expensive a hobby for me these days. When I learned in the mid-80s, I rented a 172 wet for $45/hour. What does a nice 172 go for now?

Here in Asheville, NC, you can rent a beat up old N-model rents for $86 per hour, and a brand new 172-SP with leather seats and loaded King panel goes for $102 (10% off if you buy a block of ten hours).

Um...I fly in the new ones ;-)

I rent 2003 Cessna C172R models, full IFR, Garmin 430 GPS for $92 per hour.
