"In a sense, I agree with the judge."

You're another one who has stepped in it up to your eyeballs!
Don't quote Bible scriptures to justify breaking the laws of this society!

Matthew 22:21 - "...Render therefore unto Ceasar the things which are Ceasar's; and unto God the things that are God's."

Most of God's laws as handed down to Moses are not man's laws. We live under man's laws.....for the time being.

Northampton County Judge Leonard N. Zito acknowledged it was wrong for them to use false Social Security numbers, but said their crimes warranted no punishment because they broke the law to earn a living.

So does that mean I can grow weed in my basement while cooking up a fresh batch of methamphetamine in my kitchen with peyote cactii growing on my windowsill. As long as I'm doing it to earn a living? ...jackass

This is crazy! I guess it will be allright to go kill the CEO of some big company so you can get his job - to support your family.

Nope. That would still be murder. You've got to be employed already, or actively making money. So as an assassin, you'd be ok.

This judge sounds about as good as the one in OC we had a while back that was diddling little boys.

any NJ lawyers out there?

to whom do we report such judicial misconduct.

Remember when it comes to judicial ethics, if it LOOKS bad it IS bad.

It's blatently obvious that we need a system of oversight over our oversight system - the courts themselves! I propose a randomly chosen citizen oversight committee made up of crime-free average folks riding herd on uppity judges who believe they're above the law. Yo, Ms. Ginsburg; the people have found that you're an unrepentative socialist with no moral or patriotic values...buh bye. Don't let those big doors hit you on the way out.

Zito asked the men how they came to work for Rapp Brothers, some said through a translator that they heard about the jobs through word of mouth.

Yep, another job Americans won't do because they never heard about it.

Yeah, let's not forget the employer! Would like to see an investigation include Rapp Brothers.

The scripture I quoted, didn't invalidate the law. It simply said don't despise the man in that situation. It still proscribed punishment if caught.

Those guys did break the identity theft law, but they did it in such a way as nobody was harmed. The real crime was that they are in the country illegally.

The judge is within his duty to consider the amount of harm done by the crime. That's why sentencing guidelines come with ranges instead of prescribing the same exact sentence to every one who is found guilty of a particular crime.

"Private persons and entities may initiate civil suits to obtain injunctions and treble damages against enterprises that conspire to or actually violate federal alien smuggling, harboring, or document fraud statutes, under the Racketeer-Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO)."

I would suggest someone in the judge's state file suit against him for each of the 27 counts of his document fraud conspiracy.

Not in this instance.

The only criteria which dictates judgement in this case is the illegality of being in this country in the first place.
ALL other factors are irrelevant.

But that's not why they brought him before this judge. They brought him before this judge on an identity theft charge."

I'm not aware of anything in the law that directs a judge to throw the book at and give the maximum sentence to illegal aliens.

I will be calling the FBI office in NJ in the morning to see what I can do about having this judge arrested for aiding and abetting.

I called the New Jersey FBI Office, had a helpful conversation with an Agent. He gave me a armful of phone numbers and names. Doing as he suggested I called the office of Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli.

The lady I spoke with said Hon. John M. Morganelli wasn't available but that she would give him my name and number saying he was good about returning calls. She also said that CNN had been there doing a shot for the news. They have received many phone calls reagarding this incident.

If anyone cares enough to put some more heat in the fire, spend $2.00 and please call;

Hon. John M. Morganelli
Northampton County Office of the District Attorney
Northampton County Government Center
7th and Washington Streets
Easton PA 18042
(610) 559-3020

I feel we need to get this judge removed and in a jail cell because he broke a federal law by encouraging or inducing illegal aliens to reside in America. He did this knowingly or in reckless disregard of the fact that such residence is in violation of the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act
Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii).

Public pressure is what will do the trick to bring judges back to obeying the laws we obey.

Done, B4.

The lady to whom I spoke was very cordial, and she said she knew of no justification for Judge Zito's actions other than he thought they were just trying to make a living.
She seemed surprised that this was common news in Texas!

BTW: For those making the call, press "0" when the menu comes on.

I think John Morganelli is going to be encouraged with these out of state calls. He will see up close, just how concerned the nation is about these illegals.

This judge sounds like a good candidate for Terry Anderson's "horriblest clown of the week."
