I just enlisted Michael Moore's help by e-mailing him on his website (lol).

Here is what I wrote:

Mr. Moore
Are you going to investigate the early polling numbers which gave the win to the democratic party?

Those numbers were sabotage and the big media are involved.

Unless you have abandoned the little guy (the public) in favor of large corporate groups - who seem to attract you with their money.

You have removed yourself a long way from roger and me.... payback time.... go after the media.

Thank you.

I heard him on the tube last night saying the same thing. This is the time to expose all the election fraud, not two weeks before the next election. Good for Morris.....weird little dude, but on politics, he's generally right on.

Flag post No. 54.

Wally is right. Somebody needs to look into this (although if somebody really cooked the books, the "media consortium" probably knew about it and will be reluctant to sue.)

I suspect foul play.

Toe sucking....... rather foul play.

But, Dickie is correct. It was supposed to be the Dems. last dirty trick of the campaign, and it blew up in their faces! Tough sh*t, Dems.!

Excellent post.

Off the top of my head, I would suggest such a course of action would become a down and dirty fight, with each party showing the unclean hands of the other.

I doubt the media wants that much light shown into their affairs.

But I think we should push such an action ourselves, possibly try to get class action status.

It's a tough one, but they used to say that you couldn't win against big tobacco, and look where that went.

At any rate, I would be a big supporter of any such action, including the possibility that you wrote about.

but I wonder if he still thinks the GOP should abandon the Christian Right, as he bloviated on October 22nd, 2004.

A valid point, but one slight correction: that was 2003, not last month.

Exit polls are almost never wrong.

That may be true at the end of the day when polls are closed.

When exit polls are reported, as they were by the news media, early in the day, the results reflect the preference of unemployed voters.

Does he have an email? I'd like to congratulate him. It was criminal what they did with these exit polls.

In case people have not heard - Rush revealed today that the PHONEY EXIT POLL NUMBERS were released by THE KERRY CAMPAIGN.

My guess: Joe Lockhart, in conjunction with a polling group formerly associated with CBS who was supposedly tasked by the media consortium to take the exit polls!

Why is anybody surprised. Dan Rather is dragging CBS into the mud with him .. unless they are brave enough to kick his behind out of there - and reassess their priorities.

"I would also look to Susan Estrich and any other pundit/consultant/campaign people who were interviewed during the afternoon and early evening who hyped the bogus information - they had to know."

I saw Estrich on Fox and there was something peculiar in her demeanor. She made a very big issue of the exit polls, and she almost seemed drunk, as if she was experiencing some kind of inner turmoil. If she had prior knowledge that the exit polls were faked, it would make sense of her behavior.

Yes, that is conceivable. I do note my experience with exit pollsters in 2000. It goes something like this:

I live in a heavily Republican suburb of a major city. The population is probably 80% white, 10% asian, 8% hispanic, and 2% black. I stood in line to vote for about an hour and had a chance to watch the exit pollster (that's what he claimed he was) work. In that hour, he interviewed 4 people.

2 black men, 1 hispanic woman, and a dude with a pony tail.

Warren Mitofsky did the polling for the networks. Mitofsky is an ex-CBS News hack with a lefty agenda. 'nuff said.

"So the exit pollster decided to save money by measuring only the third group, swing voters (by doing exit polling outside of polling places with lots of swing voters). And he found that they were not breaking for Bush enough for Bush to win. He completely missed the GOTV effort and the conservative turnout."

Sorry, but not possible. Voters exiting the polling places don't wear signs saying "Conservative", "Liberal", or "Swing". How is the pollster supposed to know which group they are (suppposedly) in? They certainly wouldn't use any such labels "on themselves".
