Kerry Salutes Son Of Entercom Head In Farewell

In the midst of congratulating President George W. Bush on his victory in Tuesday's presidential election, Democratic candidate Sen. John Kerry singled out young William Field — son of Entercom President/CEO David Field — when thanking those who supported his bid for the White House.

In a concession speech delivered from Boston's Faneuil Hall, Kerry took time out to discuss the efforts of volunteers in his campaign. At one point, he noted, "Thanks to William Field, a six-year-old who collected $680 a quarter and a dollar at a time selling bracelets during the summer to help change America."

After mentioning a couple of other youngsters who did similar work, Kerry said, " I think of the brigades of students and people, young and old, who took time to travel, time off from work, their own vacation time to work in states far and wide. They braved the hot days of summer and the cold days of the fall and the winter to knock on doors because they were determined to open the doors of opportunity to all Americans. They worked their hearts out, and I wish… you don't know how much they, could have brought this race home for you for them, and I say to them now, don't lose faith."

Field's company owns news talkers KIRO in Seattle (remember that one in the news last month?), WRKO in Boston, KMBZ in Kansas City, WBEN in Buffalo, and others.

Field openly urges Entercom employees to donate, through payroll deductions, to extremist environmental groups though EarthSave campaigns.

I'm sure they enjoy making money from Rush's success to fuel this left wing activism.

Entercom also owns Seattle's KTTH radio, home of Rush, Michael Medved, Laura Ingraham, Bill Bennett and Mike Siegel. Clearly the best conservative station in Pugetopolis.

Again they don't mind making money from the opposition.

Mike Siegel, conservative? He may be trying to sound that way to appeal to his current audience, but he has always been on the left. He's been pretty open about that for years.

Being an environmentalist does not necessarily make one either a liberal or convervative. Wanting to save our scenic areas, endangered animals, and historical sites and being concered about the dangers of overpopulation are issues that also attract many conservatives.

Field's group is very, very radical leftist. They openly espouse John Robbins's anti-meat philosophy. They also employ a large legal team to go after ranchers and private property owners.

Again, the success of conservative radio is helping to fund these activities. Sorry if people don't want to hear it.

Seigel claims to have had an epiphany. He says he considers himself conservative. He campaigned hard
,(including doorbelling) for several local rock solid conservatives this past cycle. He spent many minutes promoting these guy's and lady on the air too.
