That's sad. When he said "she is the love of my life" in the way he said it yesterday, I was wondering if something more was up. Not that it is an unusual thing to say, but there was something in the way he said it and the KIND of eye contact he made with her. It was sympathetic. Maybe I am wrong, but I bet they didn't just find out today.
I don't like her politically, but I wish her a speedy recovery. Hopefully she can find a doctor that is not too upset over the high cost of his malpractice insurance.

They said she found the lump last week.

W said that.
I don't believe Edwards did.
I could be wrong, but I remember W did say it, cuz I watched. Not to be nitpicky, but she put it off cuz he was campaigning, and I really really hate him for not demanding she go to the doctor and screw the campaign.

I am impressed -- quite impressed -- that they didn't announce/exploit this on the campaign trail.
Prayers for Mrs. Edwards.

They say she was diagnosed yesterday. Still, they must have had some idea.

I think you're right, and I think it's admirable that they didn't use that for political advantage.
