Who knows, maybe Kerry's willingness to act graciuosly, a characteristic very unusual for a crapweasel dem (McGreevy still hasn't submitted his resignation - and I don't believe he will), was do, in part, to the campaign pressures that were causing his wife's drinking and, perhaps, damaging his golden goose.

We saw the same thing and when she stumbled I asked my husband if he thought she was tipsy. I wondered why also that the wives and families were't on stage behind kerry/edwards like normally is done. Even if there was not enough room for everyone, I would have thought Mrs. edwards and mrs. kerry would have been up there with them. I personally thought that kerry did not want the women up there in case they cried or something. AFter seeing the concession, I tend to believe there were other reasons. But yes, you are not alone in your thoughts. We saw the same thing and...she was "floating" not focused or controlled. Strange.

I said the same thing to my husband last night- "she looks like she's drunk!" She kept looking up at him with that "I looove you, Maaan" look...

What struck me most was the fact that she looked like she didn't care and would rather be somewhere else.

Well, if you were married to John Kerry, you'd probably drink a lot, too.

I don't know if this ridiculous lady is a drunk, but if I didn't know who she was and just saw her for the first time her appearance would make that suspcicion one of the first impressions I'd have of her. When she opened her mouth to speak, I'd likely put another check mark in my mind regarding the suspicion to the point that I'd EXPECT to smell it on her breath if I had a conversation with her.
I wouldn't be a bit surprised to hear "unconfirmed" reports of her being cloistered in some exclusive rehab facility over the next couple of years.

I said that at the time. I was posting here and watching the speech at the same time. I saw what you did WITH the sound on!! She was either drunk or on several doses of Prozac!!

I believe this lady is in a world of pain. She did look impaired in some way.
