I read today that
"Ohios Amish turned out at polling stations in Holmes, Wayne and Stark counties in what some described as record numbers."Please point out for me these counties. I'm thrilled and touched by the Amish's rare active participation in this election, for the first time since they voted for Eisenhower (so I've heard).

Canton is in Stark county, in NE Ohio (it's marked on the map above). Surprisingly, it went Kerry, but went Bush last time. The Canton and Massillon city votes probably overwhelmed the suburban and rural areas. Wayne county is directly west. Holmes county is directly south of Wayne county.

They are in the NE. Canton is Stark Co. However the Hoover Co. and Timken Co. layoffs (also in Stark Co.) did not help the Stark Co. showing. I live in Canton.
