It was an incredible turnout, indeed.

What was hard to see on this map was the increased turnout in rural counties. For example, my home county, Putnam, went 73% for President Bush in 2000. This year, he earned 76%. Similar increases occurred in most rural counties, thanks to the GOTV effort.

If we can break the Dem hold on Summit, Mahoning, etc. {Akron, Youngstown}, Ohio is a walk in the park. The old mob bosses and Dems are starting to lose their hold. They ran one of their daughters, Capri Cafaro, whose family spent over $1,500,00 of their own money; and she lost to LaTourette, Republican incumbent and not all that popular.
The Democratic Mayor of Youngstown came out for Bush. With some work I think we can sway voters to give up the old Traficant and union thinking. These guys haven't helped the area in years.
