Why isn't Grassley in line...and is all this in case Hatch gets nominated for the Supreme Court?

Grassley is in line....but Grassley is also in line for to be Chairman of the Finance Committee, a critical chair that could help him bring billions to his state. Grassley has said he would take the Finance Chair, which means he can't have the Judiciary Chair too.

I'm fine with Kyl. Sessions and Chambliss may be OK too.

I think Hatch would make a fine SC justice except isn't he for stem cell research? Anyway he'd probably beat the filibuster.

Bingo.

Personally, after seeing Specter BORK Sessions when he was up for a judicial nomination, I'd like to add to the Schaudenfraude fest by putting Sessions in Specter's place as the judiciary committee chairman.

Yup, that would give me GREAT satisfaction.
