It will note that Mr. Kerry stumped in vain with Bruce Springsteen to get the youth vote out. I've never been able to figure out why young people would naturally identify with two old geezers.

As for JFnK i can't say, but wrt "classic rockers" i've noticed the "youts" are newly interested in them and their music. It seems some of them are getting tired of listening to the same old cRAP. Recently i was in a store and saw 3 teenagers standing around the CD rack. One goes "Ooh, Van Halen", as tho it was something new to him. I had to laugh. But it confirmed what i'm seeing with my own teenagers. They love the music now.
