Thanks. But I fear that there's no force on Earth that'll pry Kerry out of that Senate seat (unless he really pisses the Massachusetts voters off by coming out [sic] against gay marriage or something like that!). It's now his only source of honor and attention, both of which he seems to crave above all else.

I wonder if he'll be able to withstand the Hillary sneers. I can see her taping "kick me" signs to his back on the floor of the Senate.

Kerry has no power in his marriage. He's a lapdog. Everyone knows it. As you point out, his ego has no prop except the senate. He spent more than a year running for president. Presumably he realizes that's no longer an option, so what's he to do now? Skulk around the senate? Maybe run for minority leader?
