The MSM -- such as CBS, is not dead. But surely, they have been bruised but good. Let's really nail their coffin closed once we bring them down finally.

You'd think, especially after getting caught spiking the Lweinsky story, that Newsweek would learn. Apparently not. And for Thomas to brag in public about what they covered up for Kerry...This goes beyond cluelessness. It's incredibly hubristic.

I was of this same mind until I pondered it for a while the other day while talking with some friends. These are conservative people and we all kinda agreed that the MSM should stay in place. The network and infrastructure alone are worth saving. The conclusion was that they need staffing changes at the top, especially in the editorial departments. Once this happens the effect will trickle down to reporters and hopefully we'll be able to get an objective view of the world.

That said, I believe it important to note that the blogsphere and online journalism will experience a heyday and begin to be legitimized. It is to us, but not to all of America, or the world for that matter.
